What is the best bike rack for full size pickup truck?
chevy silverado 1500 reg cab w/ toolbox. don't want to throw the bikes in the bed b/c they cost to much 
one of my bikes has a 20mm through axle so I need to be able to rack it without removing the front tire. don't like hitch racks b/c in the case of being rear-ended the bikes would be lost. thanks for the help. Need to be able to keep the toolbox installed. Would use it for road and mtn bikes. Thanks for the help!
I have used two of the home-built racks that are shown in this site, http://www.utahmountainbiking.com/ scroll down left column to truck bed bike rack. Have worked very well for me.
