Best Underrated Bands?
What are some of your favourite underrated bands? Those truly great bands that were overshadowed by mega-giant sell-outs. I can think of many that I would put along side bands like Led Zeppelin (or whatever band you think is great) in terms of talent, yet are nearly unknown or forgotten by the general public.
I’d have to say my favorite is Hüsker Dü. Not all of their stuff is good, but you can really find some gems amongst their albums. I am typically not fan of such hardcore punk music, however, I make an exception for this band. Their alternative rock sound had influenced many of today’s musicians.
Mainstream music can be great, but it’s those fantastic bands that draw blank looks from your friends that can be the most fun to listen to. I’d love to learn about some not-so-ordinary bands.
Muse is a good one. I love them. As well as the Raconteurs. I've heard of several of the others, but I'm unfamiliar with some. I'll definitely check them out.
