Is there a usb interface light controller?
I have 4 lights. Im trying to plug the lights in a power outlet that is connected to my computer with a usb cord. Ill use a software to controll each induvisual light with a software to turn it on and make them flash with music.
Insteon makes what you want: http://www.insteon.net/ Other brands are also available at home improvement stores. Insteon is programmable.
If you want to make your own, you can use your programming language of choice to set bits on the serial or parallel connections on your computer. You can then wire these 5V signals into solid state relays to turn the lamps on and off. Just make sure the relays don't draw more than 5mA. If you don't have a serial or parallel port, you can buy USB adapters for those.
