building a RAID server?
I want to build a RAID server for my house the question i have is, what specs am i looking at i want to get at least 1.5TB where can i get a cheap supply of hard drives, and how do i make it a network place for my house and use it inconjuntion with my wireless router? so that if your on the network you can see the server and is it worth gettting a UPS for it? im trying to keep the cost down. what is the best kind of drive to use SCSI or SATA? bearing in mind i want to do this cost effectivly
the other thing is how much cooling am i going to need and whats the best way of doing this and cheap server cases ahhhh, i mean i don't mind spending on it but server cases are stupidly expensive for what they are as a rack mounts grrr.

What could you possibly do with so much storage ? It's gonna cost. It'll be slow with out high speed links. Think SAN. Fiber switch and all.
