Boxwood Viola
Viola chin rest--boxwood, rosewood, or ebony?
I'm buying a new viola chin rest and I can't decide if I want boxwood, rosewood, or ebony. What's the main differences? I'm as concerned about appearance as I am about comfort.

Comfort is primary. The difference between the three really is appearance. The chin rest doesn't add to the tone of the instrument.
